- Tow Car Shield complaints - The RV Forum Community
The Tow Car Shield has just entered the 20th year of production and over two decades there have been problems During the early years I paid for the repaints of many cars as we progressed through the evolutionary process of research and development, just as the makers of common car bras have done
- What type of toad shield is better? | The RV Forum Community
It worked well for the front of the car except that I didn't make it quite wide enough and got some chips on the outer edges of the front fenders, Where it failed was the windshield area Stones flew high enough to go over the shield and hit the windshield (got one star crack) and the adjacent hood area

- Carshield Insurance - The RV Forum Community
I have seen the ads, but I have no experience or knowledge of Car Shield as acompany as I have never been a fan of extended warranties Generally they are not worth the paper they are written on and favor the insurance company more than the insured Of course there are cases where the reverse is true, but I would argue, they are the exception

We used to have a class c motorhome and I found no protection under the dog house cover While rummaging around in a vehicle scrap yard, I found a dog house on a scrap motorhome with a protective shield still attached I purchased the shield and attached it to my dog house cover and it worked really well in controlling the heat from the motor

Just an aside on heavy dust, after many miles of dirt road, toad was dust covered, but the worst was I had forgotten to turn the AC unit to the "inside air" position When I turned the AC on, an unbelievable amount of dust came out I'm talking "can't see to drive" dust inside the car Lesson learned I think protector mesh type is best idea
- Alternator on trailer? - The RV Forum Community
Close Lou but you forgot the additional drag of the hardware to run the alternator If you power it stright off a wheel that's "not much" but if you do as someone suggested (use a rear wheel drive type rear axle and power it off the pinion) then you add the drag of the differential and that adds to your drag figures
- Rock guard protection - The RV Forum Community
We have been using Protect-a-Tow for many years now on two different toads and love it It works well keeping the paint and windshield free of dings and also keeps the back of the coach so much cleaner in wet weather, even the back up camera stays cleaner, and after all these years of towing my tow bar still looks like new
