They can come any time during the cycle And, as always stated, they are a nice to have, but not necessary Just because someone gets an LOA, it does not mean they will actually get the appointment There are requirements to be met in them usually, and not all meet them (Ask me how I know)

Mine has an LOA to USMMA but no nom yet (got a call from congressional office to expect a phone call on 12 23) his portal says waiver requested He has a nom to USNA but no LOA, portal still says pending waiver We did go ahead and get a PFT and sent that to DODMERB and to USNA and USMMA a few weeks ago The waiting is painful!

My son just received something in his portal to indicate that he received an LOA from the USNA (i have not seen, he called to tell me) Will he receive a hard copy of this in the mail? He has his interview with his ALO for the USAFA and MOC in early December On that application to his MOC

The reality is that LOA is extremely important as it sets the direction for ED strategy for the rest of the college applications, which in turn would have a direct impact on one's ability to join the academy I disagree My son and I never knew about an LOA and then he got one He followed the instructions and submitted a very good application
