Amboss is REAALLY helpful to explore reasoning and the science behind questions For my last shelf, psych, I did both Amboss and UWorld, and I will say I relied more on my Amboss questions than UWorld questions But that's psych, and I know that will probably be very different for other shelves, but that's what I'm finding for now

Amboss qbank was extremely comprehensive for these two shelf exams and somehow was able to better predict the kind of questions that would come up on the shelf exams It was also immensely helpful for my OSCE because of the practice cases they had If someone is struggling on shelves, I think this is a great question bank to check out )

Most of the threads on this are from years past and if you even mention using Amboss you get dumped on since UWorld was clearly the meta However, Amboss really has risen up recently and more people I'm sure have started using Amboss alongside UWorld or just Amboss alone I start rotations soon

AMBOSS has been out for a couple of years at this point I would like to know how people who relied on it faired on *shelf exams! I credit using AMBOSS all throughout MS1 and MS2 for giving me a strong knowledge base in preparation for NBME-based block exams and ultimately Step 1 Didn’t use

I can see how both could be overkill in a PF Step 1 world, but would doing more practice problems for Step 1 have a tangible benefit for Step 2 down the road? My plan was always to start UWorld 6-7 months before my exam date I recently received a decent discount for Amboss through my school
