Problem is, the outer tie rod end stud keeps spinning when i try to tighten the castellated nut I tried lightly tapping the tapered end further in, but now it just pops back out of the taper and the stud starts to spin

I not sure but I would think the tread is 12mm x 1 25, the same as a lug nut If the lug nut threads on then you know for sure, if not them it's 1 5mm threads If you find out let me know and I will add it to the nut and bolt spread sheet

I was under the impression that the jam nut is 19mm, but the aftermarket tie rod ends came with a nut that is somewhere between 21 and 24mm The castle nut is 17mm Is there any roadblocks that I should expect to face while doing this job?
